Capitol Satay Celup

Continued fromShort trip to Melaka

Got my map printed; read some reviews & recommendation from the internet. Reached the place at 4.55pm. The shop usually operates from 5pm. To my surprise; 5 minutes before 5pm, the restaurant already 1/3 occupied. (Luckily I was early; Luckily I got the help from google map, Luckily I managed to find a car parking lot). I’m not too sure whether is this the best one or not. But its recommended by many bloggers. Moreover the place is easy to find too! Approximate 20 minutes later; the crowd started to come in. The queue grew 10 times by the time we left at around 6pm.

Each skew priced at RM0.80.

Short trip to Melaka

Mel persuaded Alex to bring her for a short trip to Melaka on Sunday. Alex agreed; and Mel jumps up happily. Hoooray…Hooray…Therefore; Mel decided to bring along mummy & siblings as well.

Went for our lunch at around 12pm in City Park; Seremban. Returned home to get our stuff ready for the trip. HOORAY…HOORAY….(again) hahaha….

Started our journey at around 2pm. Was worrying that it might rain in the afternoon or evening. phew….luckily the weather was fine throughout the day. Instead it was flaming HOT!! Reached Ayer Keroh Toll Exit at around 3pm. (thanks hubby for driving. I know its tough to drive under the glaring sun. make people feel sleepy too….never mind..you got good assistant here….she will try to keep you awake. kept talking like a parrot. sure awake one) :-p

Our first destination was to Taman Buaya. yea…I know..I know…sounds awkward to visit there right. Never mind lar….heard that they did some improvement on it already. So, try to check out and see lor…YES; Indeed! They did improvise the place. More nicer cages/aquariums for the crocs, cleaner area, new place for the reptiles. I recalled this park was often a visiting place during school days. The entrance fee without the water park; is RM8.

At around 4.30pm; headed over to our next destination. SATAY CELUP!! Its a famous food in Melaka.Capitol Satay Celup.

After the satisfying and kenyang meal; we drove over to Jonker Street. Jonker Street is like a ‘pasar malam/ night market’. Selling various items from food to clothing, collections, souvenirs, accessories. It is located at Jalan Hang Jebat. The stalls/traders only operates on weekend. While the shops there open daily.

Left jonker street and return home at around 8pm. SELAMAT TINGGAL!!

Fashion Show by CITY IMAGE

11th KL Wedding Expo 2010 which held over the weekends from 18-20 June in Midvalley Exhibition Hall. Coincidentally I was in Midvalley during that weekend. Therefore I decided to pay a visit after I saw the agenda published on newspaper the day before. The fashion show started at 3pm. I managed to “chup” the front seat at around 2.30pm. Here are some photos I managed to capture.

delicious korea food in food garden

I have discovered a delicious Korea food in FOOD GARDEN. Food Garden is a food court located in T-216A , 3rd Floor of The Gardens Mall. The business runs by a Korean family. So, I would consider the food is quite pure though. Despite of the affordable price; the food is very satisfying too. **STRONGLY RECOMMENDED BY Mel**

Photos here are the set of Bebimbap. (comes together with a ‘kimchi chigae’, kimchi, potato). For the price of RM19.90 + 5% government tax.

Besides these; the Chicken BBQ Set is nice as well!

Outing with my Galfrens

After a discussion, we decided to meet on last Saturday. Unfortunately, Vivian couldn’t join in this round. Wanted to go for a Karaoke Session, since I still have the free 1 person voucher(from the previous session). Therefore, we finalized our meeting place at Midvalley. K-Session over in Red Box, The Gardens. We booked for the lunch session which is from 11-2pm.

I reached Midvalley at around 10+am. Alex sent me there early because there’s a meeting he need to attend. Since, I’m early why not I drop by MNG(ada sales) first. There came Wanyi & Nicole who were early as well. Within the short period of less than an hour; the three of us managed to grabbed a bag from MNG. Ashley came later at around 11+am. Ordered her ‘lou shu fun’ which tak sampai sampai punya….hahaha….Ashley claimed that they went to tangkap lou shu** @_@

Here are the food we ordered:-

mini wok lou shu fun with minced chicken(quite tasty)

thin crust pizza (nicole said its not nice)

seafood spaghetti (yummy!)

Some of us eating while some will sing.

After Nicole went home; we continue with our ‘portraits training’ around the Mall….then we came across the center court which was having TM Roadshow. They were having ‘meet & greet with Woody & Buzzlightyear’ whom came all the way from HK Disney. We were persuaded to queue up to have a photo shoot with the 2 cartoon character. “Hmm…since the queue was still short, so why not take the opportunity”…afterall we have our own camera with us. Therefore we queued for about 30 minutes till the event began.

tadaahh…..a precious shapshot with “WOODY & BUZZLIGHTYEAR”

We gals; then dismissed at around 5+pm because Mel got another round of event to attend to…. *you know what I meant* :-p

Happy 2nd ROM Anniversary

My ROM date marked on 14 June. This year should be counted as 2nd year. We did not really celebrate the 1st one, as we both were busy preparing our wedding on last September. So, this round also we had a simple one only though since we just return from Korea trip (pocket kena refill sikit). Thought of getting some nice hotels to spend a night. But the nice ones are so costly. ie; Sunway Resort, Traders Hotel, etc. With the price of around RM500 per night(just to tidur); I’ll rather spend a lil bit more extra on the Legend International Water Home with private swimming pool lagi best! Hor….Alex hor…**I’ve hinted liao….next trip yea…yea??**

Our last resort; booked CITITEL Midvalley (superior room)-good location with affordable price , booked buffet dinner over Sun & Surf Cafe of Sunway Resort-recommended by Wanyi.

This round I bought 3 items. 1 casual/OL dress, 1 high-waist denim shorts & 1 wide high-waist belt. I’m very satisfied with this batch of clothes too. Nevertheless; this batch ain’t the promo ones. I’m not sure whether the price consider money-worth-buying or not. But 1 thing I must admit that the designs are nice and some are unique lor…Why not you help me judge it… Yaya…again from the self-portraits here lor…what else… hehehe… :-p

Duan Wu Jie

Today; on lunar calender(5th day of 5th month) marked Duan Wu Jie(端午節) or better known as Dragon Boat Festival. On this day, rice dumpling(粽子) will be the main role, where you can see traders selling them or some people will prefer to custom made it. Actually there’s a story behind this festival. Besides that; there are various types of rice dumplings & even different methods of wrapping.

The link above shown the ordinary or traditional types of rice dumplings. Some people may opt for a luxury one. But it may cost a bomb. Because it consists of expensive ingredients such as; abalone, dried oyster & etc.

these are the rice dumplings I had today

the cross section: pork, beans, mushroom, salted egg yolk

**WISH ALL MY FRIENDS HAPPY Duan Wu Jie(端午節)**
